Althou...I beg to differ on the last statement only. Although I kinda share similar feeling I'd say that Incentives are not Bribes. Getting a gold medal for having won a race is an Incentive. But demanding that a bicycle be bought if you have to participate in the race is certainly Bribe. And the biggest reason I attribute this behavior to is us no longer feeling the sense of shame or embarrassment when demanding unreasonably.
