USA to ....

Everybody is talking about Obama being the president. This information is being forced into so many, irrespective of interest in politics. This might be as its just not American politics. This affects the whole world. Its presidential elections in US, but the whole world is waiting for this. I am not much into politics, but curiosity made me check the status of elections on D-Day. The whole world rejoiced this incident. History was made. Obama became the first African American to become the President of USA.

I hate to compare USA and India. It’s like comparing apples and oranges (now I can’t say which one is apple or orange). I am proud of both the countries. Both have their good and bad traits. But for now I just think about Indian politics. Do we even know what our President does…? I am sure half the people don’t even know who it is (IT was a different story with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Azad). Does the whole world eagerly wait up on who becomes our President? Well let’s leave the rest of the world, do we Indians have any say on who will be our President. Of course we have the right to choose our government. But do we even exercise that vote? Is it right on our part to just blame the government? I hate such people who don’t do their part and are very prompt when it comes to criticizing.

Some day I would like the whole world to wait to see who our Prime Minister or our President would be. But before that, I would want the Government to work more on the welfare of the country, not take advantage of innocent people. Not to blow small things out of proportion and have control over our evils of society.

Well it seems like mind just flew from USA to my social studies text book in school. But there is no harm in dreaming of a better society, a better tomorrow.

hmm such an irony, people who are so called 'educated' dont vote but never fail to crib about the system... how I wish things change...

Ours is not Presidential rule. Prime Minister is the main person. And I'm sure everyone is curious to know who will be Indian prime minister.
Nevertheless, its a sad but true fact that we don't have right to choose our prime minister. All we can do is to vote for the party, and the MPs decide who will be the PM, why PM even the CM. All credit goes to Congress, otherwise, India wouldn't have seen Narasimha Raos and Deve Gowdas, why even Manmohan Singh.
