Just a thought

I was watching an episode of "Everybody Loves Raymond"
This comedy serial has so many serious things covered up in humour...

There is a time when 2 people know about each other which may not be disclosed to others... but then it so happens that a third person gets to know about it...
So what happens when one of the 2 people get to know that what was meant to be confidential was told to a third person... esp when they know that it was the other person who did this..

Would the relationship still be so close that one person can share something confidential with the inital trust....

PS: Nothing personal here.. just a thought occurred

Depends - I don't want to write a philosophical essay here...

I think, nothing is kept as a perfect secret beteen 2 guys.
there's always a third person involved in any secret. It's human nature tht does it. It goes tht way.

I even challenge if anything secret exists only between two persons??

"A SECRET BE CALLED THAT WAY ONLY IF A SINGLE PERSON KNOWS IT"

well as per the relation ship, it shd go on untill unless it was a malicious attempt to blacken the person's character involved.

It reminds of sm old quotes which mean(sry for not recplecting exact words)

"u don't own the words u have spoken already"

n

" the words tht cross ur lips will
surely cross all the worlds exisited"

Srini,
U r most welcome to write...

Shriedhar,
Dont quite agree with u, but yes 99% it doesnt remain with jsut 2 people..
But my point was.. person1 has secret.. person 1 tells person 2... now they share a secret...
now person 3 gets to know about it.. not from person 1 but from person 2.. is that right...

Well, it depends. Depends on so many things. How close the people were, their level of understanding, why was it that the secret was leaked, etc.

I personally believe that any differences or misunderstandings in a relationship can be resolved by talking things through. Yes, people make mistakes. Afterall we're human. To err is human. And there's nothing like a perfect relationship. Any person deserves a second chance. Also, there might have been some strong reason for a person to leak the secret in the first place. This is exactly why talking things through is very important.

The question of morality should not arise. Because decisions in life are not always a clear yes/no true/false should/should not kind of decisions. There can just be so many variables in the equation that it simply is not possible to balance every part of the equation.

That was my 2 paise worth on this...

Nope...once trust is lost, there's no basis left for any relationship.

Relationships also depend on your tolerance
